Vegetable oil in liquid form is oil extracted from its raw materials. The raw materials used vary, including coconut. Then, what about the pulp from the extracted coconut oil.

The dregs are not immediately disposed of but are used as material for making copra pellets. So, the main ingredient of copra pellet is the dregs or residue of coconut vegetable oil. Although made from coconut pulp, this product is very useful especially for the fishing industry. Copra pellets can be used as food for fish, shrimp, and other types of fish. Food from copra pellets is also very nutritious for these fish.

In addition to fish feed, copra pellets can also be used as a mixture of animal feed. In fact, by mixing these products, livestock will produce more milk with better quality. For example, cows fed copra pellets will produce milk that is thicker, sweeter and has a distinctive taste when compared to milk from cows that do not consume copra pellets. In texture, copra pellets are golden brown and solid. The smell of this product tends to be sweet or has a slightly distinctive smell. Even though it has become dregs, usually copra pellet products still contain protein and fat. This dregs product is packaged or processed into pellet form, the purpose is to facilitate the mixing process with animal feed. Pellets are smaller and softer therefore, this form is also suitable for fish feed because it will be easier for the livestock to digest.
